    Charolais Society Life Member Mrs Lesley Millner sadly passed away on the 18th September 2017. Lesley was the principal of the Downunder Charolais stud and was instrumental in the formation of the Culham Charolais stud now operated by grand daughters Jess and Morgan Yost. Lesley was a major contributor to the Charolais breed in Australia and the agricultural industry. A memorial service was held on Friday 29th September at Karrakutta WA with a funeral service to be held at St Phillips Anglican Church, Culham WA on Thursday 5th October 2017. Lesley was raised in the North West of Western Australia and educated by School of the Air before attending High School in Alice Springs. Lesley along with her late husband Rob Millner were Field Officers for the Charolais Society and Lesley served 21 years on the Council of the Charolais Society of Australia. Lesley was Chairperson of the WA Charolais branch from 1980 -1987. Youth development was a major interest of Lesley and she was the Patron of the WA Youth Handlers Camp since inception. The Charolais Society extends their sincere sympathy to Lesley’s family on their recent loss.
