    Western Australian members exhibited a quality breed display for judge Mr Gavin O’Brien, Winchester Charolais, Orange NSW. Easily the largest breed display at Perth Royal the Charolais breed enjoyed tremendous success in the subsequent interbreeds. Junior champion heifer was Venturon Madonna (P) exhibited by the Thompson Family, Boyup Brook. Madonna was sired by Cedardale Zeal and from a Venturon Frankie sired dam. Madonna was a class winner at the Sydney Royal show this year. Andrew, Anne and Harris Thompson also exhibited the reserve junior champion heifer Venturon Mariah sired by their home bred sire Venturon Keystone (P). Keystone was the supreme Charolais exhibit at Perth Royal in 2015. Senior and Grand champion female was exhibited by the Yost Family, Toodyay with Liberty Lady Stardust sired by Liberty Jack of Hearts. Reserve senior champion female was Venturon Josie (P). Liberty continued their success in the junior bull section with Junior and grand champion Liberty Major General (R/F). Weighing in at 940kg Major General exhibited tremendous fleshing and length at 18 months. This bull was sired by Rangan Park Redemption E42. E42’s full ET sister was the Melbourne Royal Supreme Exhibit. Reserve junior champion bull was Venturon Maximum Impact from the baby bull class. Senior champion bull was Copplestone Laxette L64 shown by Peter and Judy Milton. This bull was sired by Ascot Frederick.

    In the Interbreed competitions Liberty Charolais won the Breeders Group, Group of Three Heifers, Group of Three Bulls and Junior Champion Bull. Venturon Charolais won the Interbreed Champion Heifer. Liberty Charolais won the most successful Charolais exhibitor.
